For the underdogs
The Moises V. Vela Middle School Jazz Band 1 commissioned me to create thier logo as well as the program that will be distributed at this year's Texas Music Educators Association convention. 🤯
I was honored by the requests, especially since I am a Vela alumni. Despite being a disadvantaged school in south Texas, the Vela Jazz Band 1 managed to win at state, making them the best jazz band in the state of Texas in their division. Wow! 🙌
The Process
I went ahead and included legacy logos from the beginning... like, the way beginning. I knew I wanted to do something jazzy with the typography, and some of these guys are pretty solid. Here are the logos that didn't make the cut. Which one is your favorite? 🤔
I always get a big kick from seeing my work being utilized/ displayed on stage.
